    Am I a criminal?


    I am 32 years old

    I started playing FIFA proclubs game mode last year

    I gave up group search, all ages, as it was hard to find teammates and I couldn't use the mic anyway as I don't speak English

    One of them once played with me for several days

    He once invited me to an Xbox party

    I happened to walk in and heard it was a boy

    I wrote to him that I was an adult, from abroad

    We played less and less, but we still texted each other

    He revealed which city his team is in and where he is a goalkeeper

    And when is your birthday

    He even sent a voice message once

    That's how the months passed, little conversations, little games

    I asked something a few days ago:

    - Hi, I'm mom

    -Unfortunately, he died

    I almost got sick

    I started searching on Facebook and with great difficulty I found his mother

    I sent him the screenshot that says he's dead

    I wrote that I really like him, I hope nothing happened

    He didn't answer

    Disabled on Xbox

    I wrote a goodbye message

    I asked his brother what happened

    They told me to leave them alone because they would report me

    I feel terrible

    I hope he's just gone, not dead

    I have no appetite and I can't do my work

    Am I a criminal?

    of course I'm not interested, and I don't want to waste energy or time on this

    I know I can't do anything and I don't want to do anything

    it just feels really bad when you read that an online friend has died and you don't know if it's true

    However, you are a fellow gamer and sadly all you can do is continue with your gaming journey without reaching out beyond gaming if the relationship is strictly gaming as this can be harassment and potentially lead to further complications.
