Always get sign in error when trying to open Master Chief Collection for PC

Hello, recently I have done a few things to the pc as some routine maintenance to get a VR set to work. This includes changing microsoft passwords, and updating graphics drivers. The next day I stopped being able to contact multiplayer servers in Master
Chief Collection. After trying to change a few things and sign out and back in, I have completely lost the ability to sign in at all into xbox live in the MCC and cant even access the main menu. I always immediately get an error stating

"Sign In Error

Error encountered while signing into xbox live"

I have tried deleting all the MCC data in %appdata% and signing in and out using the windows+g interface menu and cannot figure out where I would go to solve the problem.

Hi Tyler_053,

Sorry that you're experiencing this difficulty with MCC on PC. I had similar issues around launch as well.

May I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Xbox (BETA) application as there might be dependancy issues - do allow it to install any additional software it may require, like Feedback Hub and Console Companion.

Then even though it's installed, try launching MCC from the start menu, instead of the Xbox (BETA) app.

What console do they have?

Looping back to the DLC and the error you are getting, please can you post the exact error message your friend is seeing?

Does it allow them to download it from there, or at least show as purchased?
