Discus and support always ask me to select a different payment method in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Hi all, I wanted to buy FIFA2016 and actually tried to buy the game with 3 different payment methods saying two credit card options and one Paypal...     always ask me to select a different payment method


    Hi all,

    I wanted to buy FIFA2016 and actually tried to buy the game with 3 different payment methods saying two credit card options and one Paypal option. However, no matter which one I choose, how many times I remove and re-add, it forever returns me this PBR9002
    error with content "select a different payment to pay.........".

    I have also tried to start a chart with Microsoft support several times but never succeed. Really frustrating!

    Hopefully there will be someone to help me in this matter. Thank you in advance.

  2. Upgrading from XBOX free to Gold

    On the billing.microsoft.com site select your old credit card under payment methods and then select "Go to payment method information" and then under credit card status click "Use a different payment method" and select or add the new credit card.

    This should switch everything over to the new cc and you should be able to remove it.

    Hey JaySu1983! Unfortunately here at the forums we are not able to assist with billing issues. That specific error code usually means there is a risk block on your account. The only way to resolve this is to
    contact phone support for your region. Thanks for understanding!

  5. Hey JaySu, I used to have the same problems, have you changed your region(s) lately? I noticed a few months ago Xbox started making sure the payment method region was linked to the Xbox region settings.

    Sometimes I can get around it by buying on the xbox store online, instead of on the console itself.

    Hey JaySu, I used to have the same problems, have you changed your region(s) lately? I noticed a few months ago Xbox started making sure the payment method region was linked to the Xbox region settings.

    Sometimes I can get around it by buying on the xbox store online, instead of on the console itself.

    You need a payment method from India Carlos
    The servers verify if the payment method that you're trying to use belongs to India
    If you use a payment method from a different country the system is going to reject it and asking you to use a different card

    For me, I was always asked for a back-up payment method, JelmerF. You can also use a debit card if you have one.
