Always appear offline to friends on Xbox for Windows10

For the longest time I always appear offline to my friends. I've tried to appear online/offline setting as well as gone into my privacy settings and made sure everything was set to 'everyone' and 'allow'. Nothing is blocked.

When calling customer support about a week ago I was told the situation was known and being worked on, but dont know if she fully understood my problem (which I've had since SoT came out).

This makes it so people cant join a game on me, so while grouped if someone needs to restart the game to fix a graphical glitch or something we are forced to completely restart.

It's also made me miss groups because people thought I was offline. I dont know what to do about this and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It is true that this is an issue we are aware of but no worries, we are more than happy to help. I would recommend trying to sign into another account and check to see if it shows you online to others.

If you were to sign into Xbox.com, would your friends be able to see you appear online? Do your friends appear online to you? Please try the following:

Step 1: Clear the Windows Store cache.

1. On the Cortana search box, enter "cmd"
2. Right-click on Command Prompt, then select Run as administrator.
3. Type wsreset.exe, and hit Enter key.

Step 2: Reset the Xbox app from Settings.

1. Press the Windows key, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
2. Select Apps.
3. Under Apps and features, locate the Xbox app.
4. Click the Xbox app, then click Advanced options.
5. Click Reset.
6. Restart your computer.

Once done, kindly try to sign in to your Xbox app and check if that will work for you.
