Alternative option to get Saints Row IV for free X box 360

Hi I was wondering if there was an alternative option to get Saints Row IV for free for x box 360 . My son is a x box live Gold member and we tried unsuccessfully to download the game during the promotion period when it was free. But every time we tried
I was going to be charged for the game instead of getting it free. I contacted support during the promotion period and was told to update my card , which I done straight away. Still did not work and wanted to charge me . I have had no time to contact x box
support again until today and they inform me that the promotion has finished how is this fair when I contacted support during the promotion . Is there an alternative way to get this game as I am sure if xbox really wanted to they could rectify the situation
no problems .

I recommend checking out Saints Row, Saints Row II, Saints Row: The Third, and Saints Row IV. All great open world video games to play on the 360.

 

If this is the account in question it's because you don't have gold 48 hour trials don't give you gold.beneifts like games with gold just basic multiplayer access

You can still get the game just not free

 

Home gold doesn't apply to 360 games only the primary account holder can make the purchase

 

If the primary is a child account they wouldn't be able to make the purchase because of parental settings and no xbox one settings don't apply to 360

If it was asking you for a payment option that's normal

Unless it said 55 bucks or whatever dollars it's not actually charging you

It's a requirement of xbox 360 marketplace that a payment option must be on file whenever free or not
