Thanks for your post! Since it seems like you've recently update your security information, it takes 30 days for said changes to take effect on the profile. This 30 day wait is purely for security of your account, this allows a user to reverse a change like
this one just in case an account is taken over. For more information on this, check out this article:

Update your Microsoft Account Security Info. If you've already waited the 30 days, then your security information update may have been reversed or not updated properly.

The 30 days has passed, why do support personnel never read or listen to the user they just simply respond with the parrot fashion response.

The updated alternate email address is a single letter @my domainname.co.za. Could that be the problem, is there a limitation in the Microsoft system?

And why did the mod remove my STUPIDITY word from my post? It is the truth. I have been dealing with Microsoft support personnel for the better part of 20 years and nothing has changed.

Did you know that I would only receive the notification of detail update after the 30 days are complete??????

So, to conclude, I have receives that update stating that my alternate details have been updated as stated in my OP so yes, the 30 days are over, complete, finished, kaput.....

PS, my original details were my cellular number which I verified as being correct with your online support however I never received the OTP. I think there is a serious rip in the alternate details fabric of Microsoft's account protection reality
