    Alpha update problems


    After installing the new alpha update my console was bricked. I had to use the separate USB drive method to factory reset my console. I was unable to open the guide, start any games, open my settings, or do literally anything except stare at my home screen.
    Luckily after factory resetting it works again. I, however, have opted out of the alpha updates after the 4 hours of extreme frustration. This is a warning against updating to the new alpha build as it may completely brick your console.

    Im also part of the alpha preview and having the same problems. It has to be the update we received. Hopefully they fixed this soon.

    Alpha update problems

    Your console wasn't bricked. Bricked means like a brick, dead, not usable, won't power on. You can't restore an Alpha console with USB, that is only for public builds.

    Well if he's in the insider programn then he got a update today had the same issue the alpha & apha skip ahead builds are broken for 50% of the people that are ih that group so don't update your console if you're in alpha or alpha skip ahead
