    Alpha Update Killed my Xbox Series X


    It started with a black screen. Could only long press the Xbox button on the controller to make the shutdown/restart/report/magnifier screen show up. That was as far as UI elements goes. Doesn’t want to do offline update via USB. Gives Error E101 00000504 8B050041 Doesn’t want to download the update wired or wireless. If I select to do a full factory restore with both options keeping and deleting everything it only gets to the update portion and stays stuck on 14% no matter what. I’ve done every possible troubleshooting to no avail. I regret joining insider. What am I supposed to do now? It’s literally a paper weight right now.

    Series x runs now fine but my gues it is somthing whit the x box alpha preview update

    Just not been an issue with my original Xbox one, Xbox one S or Xbox one X. My S is in alpha and X is in alpha SA.

    Good news! I reverted to the beta build and after the update I was able to go through the setup console instructions again. It prompted a code so I am back remote with the series x 😊. I guess it was the alpha build that was messing it up. Should I try to go back to the alpha build? 🤔

    Itll get fixed eventually, not sure if others on this thread are insiders but that could be part of the issue.

    Im on the Alpha Ring on both my One S and Series X
