Alpha Skip Ahead 7-28 Update Failing

I turned my Series X on today to find it in the middle of an update that kept failing and restarting. I had to launch in safety mode and then reset the console. Since then, I have had the store continually trying to update, MS Rewards App keeps crashing, and my audio through my home theater going in and out. I had someone in the same ring reach out to me with the exact same problem, and was wondering if there were others, and if anyone had found a workaround. The audio issue is definitely the Series X, the PS5 works fine. I have also tried every iteration of bitstream, so it is not just Atmos not working. Any ideas?

Yes, pretty much everyone who is in Alpha Skip Ahead had to go through it. There was an issue with one of the updates and that was the only way to fix it. https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2018/07/08/new-preview-alpha-skip-ahead-1810-system-update-7-8-18/

In the alpha skip ahead, still no update. "Alpha Skip Ahead" clearly means something else... :')

This was something that happened to console in the Alpha Skip ahead tier of the Xbox Insider and was required to fix an operating system fault.

Consoles that are in the Alpha Skip Ahead tier of the Xbox Insider programs had to be factory reset to resolve an issue with the operating system on the console as per the notes below.
