    Alpha Skip-Ahead 2108 build - big motion lag on Series X at 4K120hz


    Since getting the new 2108 Alpha Skip-Ahead build last night my Series X has significant motion lag across the whole OS/UI/Guide when the console is set to 4K and 120hz in the display settings. It's quite jarring and unpleasant to navigate. Basically anywhere that there is motion. Worked fine before - LG C9 with HDMI 2.1, ALLM, VRR etc.

    Tried unchecking "Smooth transitions" in the motion settings but it makes no difference. Dropping the refresh rate to 60hz does, however, result in a normal experience. As I play Cold War at 120hz and this is required to be set at system level I'm just going to have to live with the motion lag but hope it can be fixed soon.

    Submitted a report on this last night.

    Well if he's in the insider programn then he got a update today had the same issue the alpha & apha skip ahead builds are broken for 50% of the people that are ih that group so don't update your console if you're in alpha or alpha skip ahead

    Fill out a detailed report, giving make and model of headset you use and send it to the development team.

    I am in Alpha Skip ahead and sometimes get these issues. You could try backing out of the Insider program, to a public build and seeing if things work.

    Remember Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead are the cutting edge OS builds and can be full of bugs.

    Hulu crashing

    Same problem for me. Series X, Alpha Skip Ahead. As soon as an Hulu tries to load an ad, it crashes to the dashboard. I have reported it through the console too.
