This can be the Xbox turning on to check for system or games updates. You could try to disable this option if you want:

- Press the Xbox button > Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power mode & start-up > Select "Energy saving mode" from the Power mode.

- Press the Xbox button > Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates. Under Updates, uncheck "Keep my console up to date" and "Keep my games & apps up to date".

You need to remove your Xbox One from Samsung TV's Universal Remote

1. Grab your Samsung TV remote and hit the home button.

2. Navigate left to the sources section.

3. In the sources menu, move right to the Universal Remote section.

4. Here, you should see all the devices currently integrated with your TV.

5. Navigate to your Xbox One and press up to access the menu.

6. Hit delete.

This a known Issue and MS is working on a FIX.

For Workaround set it to Energy-Save mode.

This is definitely an odd issue and not one I've heard of before. However, seeing as how you've tried using alternate methods to connect to a power source and removed the hard drive I would recommend contacting phone support to set up a repair.
