Allowing only specific apps in guest mode

Hi!

I want to limit time my kids can use XBox to play games, but I want to give unlimited time for anyone to play music on Spotify. Is there any way to select which apps will be available in guest mode? I could only find the setting to allow apps with specific
age rating which is too broad.

If this is not possible, is there any workaround for example creating dedicated account without password and granting this account rights to use only specific app?

xbox live second contoller connection

That is a trial membership and only gives some features of a Gold account. Sorry but allowing a guest account is not one of the features available to you.

How to change content restrictions on guest accounts

When guests want to play games or watch movies on your Xbox One, and they don’t have an existing Xbox Live account, you can sign them in with a guest account. The sign-in process includes setting content restrictions for each guest account. Content restrictions allow you to control what games, apps, and movies your guests can access on your console when no family members are signed in.

How to Edit the Settings:

1. Sign in to your personal account.
2. Nest, using your controller, press the Menu button.
3. Go to Settings.

4. Next head to the right, and select Guest settings followed by your guest key.

5.The Content restrictions settings allow to set the restrictions on media (movies, music, apps, & games) You can also select "Access to Content" if you wish to see the settings for you guests.

6. Select Access to content and apps. This will open a dropdown that allows you to see the details about and select the level of restriction that’s appropriate for your guests.

7. From here choose the restriction you want to set for your guests. In the even you don’t want to restrict contentchoose Unrestricted.

8. The settings you choose are also applied to searches in the Xbox Stores. You are given the option to remove this restriction; simply unselect "Hide listings in search, stores, & apps" check box.

Thanks for reaching out! In reference to your question, If there is only one person signed in to the console, the guest account has the same privacy settings as that host.

If there are multiple household members signed in, the guest account has the same privacy and online safety settings as the family member with the most restrictive settings. For example, if a child is signed in, the guest is restricted by the child's settings.

Some playlists only allow a max party size of 1. If this is not the case, and you are trying to play in a game mode that supports bigger parties, trying signing your guest into the "Guest" profile before pressing "A" to join the pre-game lobby.

If you've added your son's Xbox account to your Xbox, both of you may be logged in at the same time.

Unfortunately, certain games only allow guests to sign in for split screen modes. Star Wars Battlefront II is one such example:

I don't have a mobile network, only my home wifi network. The app works just fine on my laptop when signed in. All features open when signed in. The app works fine on my ipad in "guest" mode. I played a game in guest mode, then signed in, and the app failed to open the next game. Obviously, it has something to do with signing in on my ipad, since the app works fine in guest mode. I have updated my ipad and the app. If I could get out of the black screen in the app without having to shut down my ipad, I would be able to trouble shoot better. Having to shut the ipad down each time to reset the app is a real bother. What is even more perplexing is that the app worked fine on 4/25. Having changed nothing on my ipad, on 4/26 it wouldn't work.

We have the same problem on both of our iPad’s. I have not tried the guest mode !!!!
