    hi all

    I have just purchased a Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN so i could take advantage of the variable refresh rate along with this i also purchased a high speed Monster HDMI cable (im also apart of the xbox inside)
    oh and my console is an xbox one x

    however when i access the advanced video modes its greyed out!!! Any ideas how i can enable this, or tell me where i have gone wrong.

    Variable Refresh Rate greyed out?

    Currently it is set to 4K UHD and 60Hz. I just tried the hard reset and it's still greyed out.

    Variable Refresh Rate greyed out?

    Hi, I have a Samsung QN55Q8FNB and I have verified through Samsung support that this TV does have VRR available, but my Xbox One X has VRR greyed out as an option. If anybody knows why this is happening or how I can fix it I'd appreciate the help.

    Hello Warning!

    Can you give us a few more details about what is greyed out? Is it he options regarding 4K features for the Xbox One X. If that is the case you would need to be connected to a 4K TV for it to automatically detect and give you access to those settings.

    Hopefully we can get you rolling.

    Have you enabled FreeSync on the monitor itself? It is OFF by default, and needs to be turned on in the Monitors On Screen Menu.

    After it is enabled on the monitor the Xbox One X should recognize the capability (May require restart after enabling on the monitor)

    Hi guys

    Yup i needed to turn it on in the settings rookie mistake.

    so now i have enabled varible and 120hz, it changed it to 1080p and not 1440, if i select 1440 then it changes to 60hz, is that right?

    can i not have 120hz with 1440?

    Hey Warning,

    In order to setup 120Hz on a 1440 TV or Monitor it must meet certain requirements and must be enabled from the settings. Simply follow our Display
    Settings     page.
