Allow Variable Refresh rate grayed out on Xbox Series X and Alienware 2521HF

Hello.

Since I override HDMI and select 120hz automatically VRR is not selectable. My monitor Dell Alienware 2521HF is AMD Freesync Premium. Any suggestions comments about this issue how to resolve?

Yup i needed to turn it on in the settings 😂 rookie mistake.

so now i have enabled varible and 120hz, it changed it to 1080p and not 1440, if i select 1440 then it changes to 60hz, is that right?

can i not have 120hz with 1440?

Can you give us a few more details about what is greyed out? Is it he options regarding 4K features for the Xbox One X. If that is the case you would need to be connected to a 4K TV for it to automatically detect and give you access to those settings.

In order to setup 120Hz on a 1440 TV or Monitor it must meet certain requirements and must be enabled from the settings. Simply follow our Display
Settings page.
