    Allow Unlimited Characters to Xbox Gamertags


    I really want to raise awareness about how limited we are to gamertag options. We are currently only limited to 12 characters and that isnt enough. I contacted support regarding wanting more letters and they redirected me to the forums. I want to make
    a request to allow users an unlimited amount of letters/numbers for their gamertag. I wanted to add just 2 letters and because of the policy I can’t. This will allow users to not feel limited to the creativity of what they want their usernames to be.

    Because you're not clicking the customize prompt. I linked an example of what I meant in my last reply. You can also try changing it via PC or mobile to see if that helps.

    I apologize, I don’t seem to understand. When I try to change my name through the Xbox it doesn’t allow me to bypass 12 characters.

    You technically still have the 15 character gamertag limit, you just gotta select the

    customize prompt     when changing it to select it. Now for unlimited characters, I doubt something like that would ever happen due it being a waste of resources and added stress to their staff/systems that moderate gamertags.

    Its simple really, this is to prevent abusing the Gamertag change. I would think it might cause a havoc if everyone is allowed unlimited Gamertag change and it would be hard for the Xbox enforcement team to catch naughty kids doing a lot of trouble online
    or disrupting the service.

    If your the President of the US of A and driving people pay tax regularly. Would you allow them to have there license plate change unlimited at any time? Just a comparison I'm trying to make I guess.

    Why is the gamertag "Fupand" not allowed? it has no wrong meaning to it.
    Since The New Gamertag System Microsoft Only Allows 12 Characters If The Gamertag Shorter Then 12 Characters It Want Let You Create The Gamertag
