Allow son to play xbox without needing my passcode

I bought my son an xbox one. He is 9. I don't want him to be able to buy games or DLC when ever he likes so I added the passkey(code) to the account. Problem is he plays that stupid Minecraft game and every time he starts the game it asks him sign in with
the only account on the system (mine). To do so he needs me to enter the passkey. I don't mine him signing in to the account to play and its only the making additional purchases I want to restrict.

Please what settings do I use to enable passkey for purchases but allow him to bypass it to sign in just to play Minecraft?

I will not create him his own account the child is 9 and does not need one.

Forgot my Family Passcode

My son entered a passcode on the family settings and now he doesnt remember it and he cannot play any games without it popping up to enter a passcode. Any suggestions?

Child accounts can be created and be parent controled

A separate membership isn't needed with xbox one or ps4 as long as your console is home gold

The advantage of having his own account is he can recover it at any time anywhere

All online services require an online account to play

Copa isn't an ms issue as it is a law you can take it up with your congressman

 

No one but you should be on your account

Only one profile needs gold on the xbox one all sub accounts don't need a separate membership however any console they recover it on needs to have home gold in order for them to play on other consoles

Child sub accounts don't need a payment option on file

Mine craft can be played offline without an online account but as required by all gaming services online play requires an online account

All current Gen consoles support sub account with out an extra membership
