Discus and support Allow Series to still download base X1 game in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; Allow user the option to, pick the version of Gen game they want, I personal dont want have to keep swapping data in & out of internal Storage. game...     Allow Series to still download base X1 game


    Allow user the option to, pick the version of Gen game they want, I personal dont want have to keep swapping data in & out of internal Storage. game that have 2 version (Base Xbox one or Series Console ) ask the user what they want, it like we have No option & forced.

    Like when they go to download, box apears & says do you want the Xbox One or Series version ?.

    Yes. Tried downloading series gen and x1 gen, tried different settings (different IPS, cable, wifi, etc) with both games too. Still nothing.

    Hi!

    When you insert a disk in the X1 of a backwards-compatible game, you'll need an internet connection in order to download the next-gen console version. There will be an alert that allows the game to be used on X1. Then you can use the "Offline" function or
    stay connected to download the updates necessary for the game (or play in multiplayer mode).

    Ive had my X1 in standby/Auto download for nearly 3 years and have never seen a game update screen ?

    Im all digital so maybe this only happens with Disc based games and updates?

    This used to work to wake the X1 from sleep and now it does not. I can connect fine when the X1 is already on.

    The SmartGlass setting on X1 is still set for allow all connections.

    I am using Win10 X1 SmartGlass app.

    Migrating games from Xbox One to Series S

    Hi,

    If you have lots of disk games the Series S may not be for you. Disk based games will still require the disk to be read to prove ownership. For that you'll need the Series X.
