Allow capitalizing or uncapitalizing letters in your gamertag

I've been stuck with a completely uncapitalized gamertag for almost 10 years now, I think, and I want to capitalize it. I don't see why you wouldn't allow people to just change capitalization in their gamertags.

But you cam it just cost you twice or once now with the new system but you will have to take a suffix

But before rhe new system you had to change your name to free it snd then change it back not really worth changing caps

The only way to keep your original name.and caps it is to change it completely then back agsin to avoid the suffix

Really not worth the hassle

Also, any combinations of capital and lowercase letters don't change the response it still says that the gamertag is not allowed

If that's not a route you would like to go, you may always try to re-download your profile! First step is to clear your cache, here's how:

1) Tap the Xbox Guide button on the controller, go right twice into Settings, pick System Settings.

2) Select Storage (or Memory).

3) Move over any hard drive or memory unit press (Y) on your controller and pick Clear System Cache.

4) When asked to confirm storage device maintenance, choose Yes.

Delete profile from your console

1) Go to Settings

2) pick System

3) choose Storage

4) pick All Devices

5) choose Gamer Profiles

6) pick the gamertag

7) choose Delete, and

8) pick Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements. Now, re-download your profile.

Don't know how to redownload your profile?

1) Tap the silver Xbox Guide button

2) Select Download Profile (and if you don't see it, press the blue X button to make sure you're not signed in) and proceed with Profile Download.

3) Enter the Windows Live ID for your Xbox LIVE gamertag when asked.

4) Enter the password for the WLID.

4A) If your account is an Xbox LIVE child account, the parent’s Windows Live ID & password is required as well to download your profile.

5) Pick the storage device for your profile (choose your HardDrive you have one, or Memory Unit if you don't have a Hard Drive).

6) Now it will download it, just wait, and after it's done, it'll ask you to remember your password. I'd say yes normally.

Let me please just remind you, that Xbox does not have a way to MANUALLY change your gamertag, so if the re-downloading does NOT work, unfortunately you're gonna have to change the actual gamertag.
