All Xbox messages before 2020 are gone unless I access them through the account I messaged

There is a conflect about where to see it, in the Message Center, or through the email?

I'm pretty sure I'm a new subscriber for both.

Can I access to the Xbox message center on PC ?

If you look in the Xbox App, Smartglass or here on Xbox.com, do you see any messages or are those blank too? What about on Xbox 360 (you can start a backwards compatible game to check these, hit Menu+View to open the Xbox 360 Guide)?

Unless the comments were given through Live messages, there is not way to go back and look through them to see who you sent a message to.

try going on your xbox settings and checking if your notifications for messages are turned off

I've looked at them already, all of them are ticked so it means I should get them but message banners are the only ones not working. I get party messages, game invites and everything else that is there but unfortunately no message notifications at all unless
I use the Xbox app. I'm not gonna rely on the Xbox app entirely for messages either.

As previous ambassadors have mentioned, once the message has been deleted then you would no longer be able to access it.

You can always take a second look through your messages online by going over to
xbox.com and logging into your account. You should be able to find your messages here, if you are unable to find the message with the code then unfortunately that code will be long
gone.

Thank you. I've never deleted messages they just disappear from the list after a while since xbox moved them to a different subsection of the messages tab. so it should in that case be there.
