    All of a sudden cannot play mutliplayer - privacy restrictions


    My son's account has no restrictions on it and I haven't changed anything on his account for over a month. Today for some reason he is cannot connect to Overwatch because of "privacy settings" on his account; according to the message we get. Additionally
    he cannot connect to Halo or do matching in Destiny.

    Again I haven't changed a thing with his Xbox account and he has no restrictions on it. What is going on?

    Permission to play online

    Hi there,

    All of a sudden (started yesterday) I don't have permission to play online. Checked my membership, age and privacy settings: nothing wrong there. I have a gold membership, am old enough and don't have any privacy restrictions set. What to do now?

    The problem is still present for me and has been like this since around the time my Xbox updated to the latest Xbox one experience via the preview program which was roughly as soon as it was available.

    Hey everyone -

    Thanks for posting about the issue. If everyone could please try the following steps and let us know the results, that would be great.

    • Remove your Xbox Live profile from your Xbox One Console
    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One until the console completely powers off
    • Re-add your Xbox Live profile to your console
    Again, please follow up and let us know if works (or doesn't) so we can look into the issue further.
