    All my Xbox games either crash before fully opening or just won't attempt to open at all....


    I have been able to run games on steam and other apps just fine, but all games hosted on the Xbox app won't open. Only one game (Shadow of War) will even start launching but after about 5 minutes it will just close before even loading the menu screen. All my other games wont do anything regardless of how i attempt to launch them.

    This error code only popped up once after Shadow of War crashed and I was lucky enough to save it:

    Error Code: 0x803F8001

    This is the Event Viewer log that I got after trying to launch my game most recently:

    Also Xbox Support is not loading so I cannot get help there and Microsoft support tried to help but was unable to and told me to contact Xbox Support.

    Hello DocCannoli, are you playing on Pc, what would be your operating system, Win 10 or 11?

    Have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 22H2?

    Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

    I'm playing on PC with Windows 11. I have updated it and all my games as well as the Microsoft Store, Xbox Console Companion and Xbox apps. I have uninstalled all the before mentioned apps and games and reinstalled them as Microsoft Support directed. I've tried downloading my games from the Microsoft store and again through the Xbox app. I have tried repairing and resetting these apps and games, restarting my computer, connecting and disconnecting a VPN. The only thing that seems to allow me to play games is to use a different app such as Steam.

    I have contacted Microsoft Support 4 times already with no help, I'm honestly just hoping for someone that knows what's wrong to reply here because I've given up on your "Support" staff and haven't seen too many HELPFUL replies from the Independent Advisors here.

    Disc tray won't open, power light continuously flashing

    Sounds like you burned out the drive motor with all the openings and closings. Just so you know opening and closing the drive won't fix the laser issue that you're attempting to resolve either. You might get lucky where one of the many attempts actually
    caused the laser to read data but it's still out of focus and needs adjustment.



    Contact support and request a repair.

    I appreciate the help but now my problem is the console is struggling to even open settings taking anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute to just launch it if not crashing. I’m currently attempting to reinstall both games I’m having issues with which may be the cause to the console taking awhile to open setting, I just don’t understand what could have happened from just a simple factory reset and why this is all happening all of a sudden
