    All Minecraft for Windows worlds gone after changing location of launcher.


    I needed some more room on my C: drive and so decided to relocate all my xbox games to my external hard drive using the pc xbox apps built in move function for games. I believe I moved the minecraft launcher and not the game which is still on the C: drive. Before this, I had 100s of worlds from very far back that I had ported over to my pc from my xbox years ago as well as hundreds of hours of builds. I have checked the com.mojang folder to see if I could revert anything to a previous version. I couldn't. All the worlds seem to have just been eradicated from my computer and I really don't know what to do now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I only moved the launcher, so the save directory location is the same as it was before, just completely empty. I'm just really confused as to what has even caused this.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding. When you moved to the external hard drive, did the game created a new save directory there?

    Hey Caio! Thank you for taking the time to try and help me, though I think you misunderstand. As I stated in the title, my problem is with the windows version of minecraft not java edition so this will not work. Saves for the windows edition are within the com.mojang folder.

    Try checking at the .minecraft folder. To access it, try this:

    > In your Windows search bar, type %appdata% and press Enter

    > Click on the .minecraft folder

    > Access the saves folder

    > Check if your worlds are there
