All-In-One Media Keyboard won't let me type and move the cursor simultaneously

I have this Microsoft All-In-One wireless keyboard, which I extensively use. I don't have many issues with it, but this one: the touchpad gets locked when I'm pressing another key. Why is that? It prevents me from doing some specific tasks. Other touchpads don't work that way. Can I fix that in some way? Thanks!

Edit 1: This doesn't seem like a windows settings issue, because my keyboard is plugged to a notebook, and on that notebook I can type and move the cursor simultaneously just fine. It's an issue on the peripheric keyboard.

And yes, it works. I have it. I'm not sure whether the cursor will work in IE because I've never tried. Allows you to type on screen, though.

Once you recover your password to your account I suggest you Create and manage a XBox one passkey
assigned to the controller you use. It's a lot more convenient than typing a password all the time.

Does pressing the B button close the keyboard, or moving the cursor to the top and above the keyboard allow you to use the button?

Stop trying to explain the obvious. I am talking about the text box, the goal isn't for me to use any of the typing tiles. All I want to do is to be able to move the cursor IN the text box because the cursor is always at the front, which makes it impossible
for me to be able to delete any of the text. Yet, the bumpers, which CLEARLY are supposed to be allowed to let you move from left to right in the textbox do not even move the cursor at all. I just get the normal clicking sound, but nothing happens. If this
is not a glitch, I don't know what is.

I would love to see a chat pad for the XB1 controller and I do think they'll do one however first they need to fix the slight delay when hitting the backspace, space, or moving the cursor around when you're typing a message, try hitting "X" for backspace
and then quickly typing a letter, the backspace won't register till after the new letter does, happens the same with "Y" for space and the bumpers for moving the cursor.
