All I want to do is have a private shooter match with my son and it seems impossible!

So my son has an Xbox S with ‘Gold’ membership, i have just bought Series S with ‘Game Pass’ membership. All i want to do is play 1v1 on a shooter game, just a bit of fun between father and son but it seems impossible!

Microsdt have removed 12 months ‘Gold’ subscription so that you’ll be pushed towards ‘Game Pass’ which is OK for a single working person but it is garbage for a family! What Microsft do not tell you with ‘Family Share’ is that you cannot play at the same time.
The only way that i can see around this issue is paying for two ‘Game Pass’ subscriptions and at £10.99 per month works out at £263.76 per year. I aso have two other children so if i go down with route ill be paying over £500 a year just for ‘Game Pass’ sunscriptions.
Surey Microsoft don’t expect familys to be paying this every year.

Is there a cheaper way i can do this?

Good shout, think ill do this but it is only a short time fix, next year these wont be a available.

It so frustrating that PC don’t have to pay for any subscription which is how i beleive if should be. Seriously considering PC is the better long term solution.

You can still buy 12 month gold subscriptions as a prepaid code from other retailers, you just can't subscribe to it through Microsoft.

Why doesn't this have private matches? It seems another odd move, all feedback from other FPS'ers without private matches ask for private matches but there still isn't any in BF, or do you have to pay for it in a DLC?

My gamer tag was recently changed by my son. And I want to recover it. But it seems to be impossible. Why is that? I would like to know what's the problem.

Xbox is annoying doing this kind of polices.

[/quote]I dont think Ive used a tube (unless its on a picked up weapon) in this COD. The competetive gameset/rules were great in the BOs game, but it doesnt seem the same in this COD. I wonder if BO2 is gonna be fun in the comp set? I never really chase
cheevos nor play campaigns (played them so much growing up in other 3rd and 1st person shooters, because we didnt have online multiplayer back then, LOL) so its MP for me now. My son usually plays the other stuff sometimes, although I do enjoy zombies (with
the wife).
