    All games suddenly deleted?!


    12/26/17 I was playing my xbox for a couple hours and then had to step away for about an hour. When I came back and tried to restart the game I was playing it wouldn't start. I went to the home screen and quickly realized that all my games had been deleted...
    and it also said they needed to be reinstalled... uhm... anyone else here ever have this problem???

    Around 450GB + games now have to be reinstalled, likely putting me over my data limit, which means not only is this totally dumb, but may actually cost me $$$. No idea what will happen with my saved game data... pretty disgusted in xbox if it randomly can
    decide to delete all my games. I know I, as a user didn't do this... and it appears others have experienced games being deleted after updates doing some google searching...

    Contacted Xbox support... they sent me directions to reset my console... you know the whole "did you turn it off and back on again" (only this time disconnect the power for 2 minutes for good measure)... yup, that did nothing... wasn't expecting much.

    Have you tried switching the screen resolution on your TV when this happens?

    I am unsure what you mean by "widescreen" as all retail games--that I'm aware of--since the early 2000s have been in a 16:9 resolution because of the wide-spread adoption of televisions in that aspect ratio. 720p and 1080p both natively display at a 16:9
    aspect ratio. The only screen resolution that the Xbox 360 supports that is not at that aspect ratio is 480p which is in a 4:3 ratio.

    same here, I was playing fortnite just fine on Monday and now Wednesday 11 of my games need to be reinstalled. only activity between then was me activating the xbox app on my laptop to save captures from xbox live to my laptop to create more space...

    Found another solution. Went into mamage game and deleted all game data which is the cloud sync data. Then started a new campaign and suddenly vc worked

    If I recall, lowering resolution will bring the display to more of square shape instead of wide screen. I don't exactly recommend that if you do have actually have a HD wide screen TV with HDMI since that would let you get closer to native resolution, giving
    you better image and less screen lag still.
