All games on Xbox Series keep freezing for few seconds and crashes to Home Screen

I got a Xbox Series S that I received on Xmas via a family member and since the day I got it, I have been experiencing games Freezing for 5-10 seconds and crashing to the Home Screen. Whenever during Gameplay (Ex: Persona 5 Royal), it plays normal for a few minutes to a hour or 2. However the games suddenly freeze and crashes mid-play.

What makes this more weirder, is whenever I open up the menu with the Xbox button to force close the game when it’s in a freeze state, it doesn’t show up until after the game crashes back to Home Screen.

Although when using apps, like Crunchyroll, and Netflix, the freeze and crash isn’t present.

Is there anyway to completely fix this, or will I have to send in my console for repairs?

Sorry about that. You can try to refresh your operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data that restricts you from using your console normally without deleting your games or apps. Just a heads-up, doing this will erase the profiles on the console including Home Xbox designation but will not remove any installed games & apps on your console. You can download your profile back after the reset. Would that be fine with you?

You may also want to check this link: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/games-apps/... for more steps. If the issue persists even after the resetting your console, I am afraid you may need to consider sending it for repair as last resort.

Titanfall does this sometimes. Makes a loud buzz and freezes for 10 seconds then crashes to the home screen. I doubt it's the publishers, seems like xbox is the one to blame.

I have the same problem:

DR3 - either crashes to home screen, or gets stuck at "Loading"

AC4 - either crashes to home screen, or gets stuck loading the save game

KI- crashes to home

COD- Goes into a loop going back to the splash screen after showing the menu for a second or two

These are all digital download games. I'm on my 2nd replacement xbox and support hasn't been able to help me at all.

Edge keeps crashing when watching videos , after ten minutes it will freeze and send me back to the home screen. I'm using an Xbox one s and I'm having these issues ? Why haven't this been addressed yet

Seems to have done the trick. My games including Forza 5 all load and allow me to play without any freezing/crashing to the home screen. Thanks Microsoft team.
