All emails regarding my account are sent to an old email no longer associated with my account.

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/profile/contact-info an check if the correct email address, is set up there and is your primary address.

Yeah I understand that there can be different emails associated with the same GT.

When I initially signed up for xbox live I used my gmail account. Since then I've changed both my WLID and my contact email to my hotmail account.

There's no reference anywhere regarding my gmail account and yet some emails are being sent there and not to my hotmail account.

also the email account associated with ,my account is no longer active i have tryed toi change email address but it wont happen

I'm not understanding what your asking for. When you say email is no longer active. Was the account closed, or closed due to inactivity - ie. no login for more then 365 days?

If your talking about this account, then how are you able to post in the forums with that account?

So I would like an old account to be switched onto the email address I am currently using with this sheepish account. Probably inactivity, basically my dad used comcast.net for work and back when we had them for cable and stuff too.
But, we all switched to gmail and that email was forgotten. Now I can't get into that email that is associated with my main account.
