All digital xbox free codes not working

My friend recently got a new xbox all digital edition, and it came with free codes for sea of thieves and fortnite spider night. He gave me the fortnite code as he does not play fortnite. I tried to pit in the code, and it said that the code had already
been redeemed. Neither me or my friend used the code and the sea of thieves one didnt work either!

(I know that the xbox all digital was discontinued, but his mom gave him a new one that was never opened for his birthday, and none of the codes worked)

you will have to go to the place you purchased the console, if the codes have been used then you need to take this up with the store you purchased with.

You will not be able to download it at all on the Xbox One. Free or not. No Xbox game digital or disc will work on it.

Xbox One digital game codes should be region free. But there is an easy way to test and that is to redeem them to your account and see if they work. If they redeem fine then they are region free.

If the free game comes with the Xbox One you purchased you should have got a 25 digit code or a QR tag with it.

You can redeem your free game with the following steps:

1. From the Home screen, scroll right to Store.

2. Under Games, select Browse All Games.

3. Select Use a code. Or, say “Xbox, use code.”

4. If prompted, sign in.

5. Use one the 25 digit code or QR tag (If Kinect is available)
