    All audio settings sound like Windows Sonic


    Haven't really been on my Xbox this week due to work. Sit down tonight and notice that the audio sounds like Sonic is enabled. This is not uncommon I've found when an update happens. Always fixable by launching the Atmos or DTS app.

    However, this time no matter what I do I'm stuck with it sounding like Sonic, even when set to stereo.

    Anyone else experiencing this issue?

    I have no sound at all in my headphone. only when im long pressing a button on the adapter for my headphones. and im using the xbox stereo headset.

    The audio setting is set to windows sonic for headphones.

    Have you tried going into your settings looking for the sound settings. so go to settings > display & sound > audio output> and then selecting one of the different headset audio options (stereo uncompressed, windows sonic for headphones or dolby atmos
    for headphones)? trying a different setting might help you.

    Out of curiosity did the the customer by chance give the brand/model of headset they purchased? I am linking a few resources concerning Dolby Atmos for Xbox Experience Your Games in Full Audio Immersion with Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos Spatial Sound - Xbox Wire and Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X headset settings on Xbox | Xbox Support . I usually recommend to players that once they have installed the Atmos app on their console or pc that they use the app to test the differences in sound rather than using a game to test the audio.
