Alias was changed email

Please ensure that you are following these steps when attempting to add an additional email alias:

1. Navigate to account.microsoft.com
   
2. Sign in with your correct MS Account information
   
3. Select the "Your info" tab in the top ribbon
   
4. In the Account Info tile, select "Edit account info"
   
5. Select "Add email"
   
6. Select the "Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias" button and then enter your email
   

If you are still experiencing an issue while attempting to add an alias, then we recommend that you contact Microsoft Support directly for this issue.

you can re alias it if you want to my knowledge. By following the change email alias system.

Have you ever changed your email(alias) to another? it could be that you will have to sign in with the new alias.

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with changing alias on a Microsoft Account.

When changing the alias on the account it has to be a new email or a 3rd party email. You will receive an error is you are trying to use an active Microsoft email, for example: hotmail.com, outlook.com.

I recommend reviewing the following article: Change the email address or phone number for your Microsoft account

• A new email address. Select Create a new email address and add it as an alias, and then follow the instructions.

• A non-Microsoft email address (such as an @gmail.com or
  @yahoo.com email address). Select Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias, and then select Add alias.

Thank you for replying.

If you change the alias, you will only be changing what email you use to sign in to the account. You can add another alias to your account and use that as the Primary alias
as long as this is not already associated with another Microsoft account.

Additionally, as long as the email does not belong to a Microsoft domain [MSN, Hotmail, Outlook, Xboxfamily, etc] you can also remove that email from the account as well to have only your email or phone used to sign in to the account with all the games.
[If your account was originally created using Microsoft domain, and you remove this from the alias list, you will delete that email permanently so be careful.]

Changing the alias also will not change how emails are received to the original email of the account.
