    Alias tied email to account


    My email account got tied to a alias and when I went to recover my account, I used the password recovery too many times and now I'm locked out. It told me to wait until tomorrow. Will I be able to recover my account then or am i locked out permanently? I deleted the alias but because I had used too many password recoveries, I can't get into my original account now. And it is not this email I'm using.

    how did you change the email as the email address IS the microsoft account and everything purchased is tied to that microsoft account, you can only change a microsoft account email via alias creation.

    Unless you fully delete the email, the email used when creating an Xbox account will always be the email tied to that account. Changing your contact info or adding an alias does not change this.

    Umh...quite convoluted procedure.

    I already can acceso to my account with the alias email that I created on the same account, but this did not let me remove the old alias.

    Probably with the procedure you posted is possible to have another email as default.

    BUT....the payment options, the acquired games, and all the rest are tied to the gamertag or to the microsoft account? Cause I did not want to loose anything.

    The hacker unfortunately managed to change my primary alias but the account is still there. I don't have a recovery code nor access to the email needed to verify, but the email address currently tied to the account is known. Is there anything I can do about such?
