Alan Wake Easter Egg in Quantum Break Teased by Remedy's Happy Holidays Video

Remedy Games just released a Holiday greeting video, and it’s a quite special one.

In the video, Creative Director Sam Lake shows the set for a live action Easter Egg that will appear in Quantum Break. The character in the video is named Alex Casey, and he’s looking for a missing writer alongside
    with his partner.

Alex Casey is the protagonist of Alan Wake’s books, and I’m sure I don’t need to tell you who the missing writer is (even because he’s named explicitly with a note near his picture on the board). Alan Wake himself
appears, wearing the outfit from Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. The tease ends with the message “to reach the surface, you must fist dive deeper.”

Interestingly, Alan Wake is portrayed with a beard, which might or might not mean something, considering that he never had more than a stubble in his games. Another note on the board mentions that he has been
    missing for five years.

Lake mentions that 2015 has been a tough year of hard work to finish Quantum Break, but now they’re almost there, and they’re just putting him some nice finishing touches like this Easter egg.

I'm looking foward to Quantum Break but I'm even more excited about a possible Alan Wake 2 in the future.

I played Alan Wake for the first time when it was really cheap Deals with Gold (or whatever) and I don't see why people liked it so much? I mean it was okay, it wasn't bad but it also wasn't good either. Not nowhere the hype that
it was given and still follows. Am I just missing something with it?

I felt exactly the same about it, finished it and enjoyed it but nothing really special for me.

I thought Alan wake was okay. Not sure what the hype was over the story either. I thought it was kind of stupid to be honest. American Nightmare was really fun though.

Alan Wake was brilliant, felt like you were in a Stephen King book and I really found the storytelling of the game interesting, even read all the notes I found which I normally don't do. It's rare for a game to grip me like Alan Wake did, I even stayed up
all night playing it and I've never done that before and haven't since.

American Nightmare I didn't like that much though, got a bit boring doing the same thing 5 times or more in the same places. But I'm hyped for Alan Wake 2 already.

I'm with @dwood I read every note I found and was intrigued by the whole story right to the end watched all the to shows I found also. I just liked the whole light thing as the mechanic. Was really intense and interesting. I also played it on a harder difficulty
which gave me less ammo and batteries. Love Remedy

^^I agree Rippen. Even though I didn't like the story that much or thought it was over rated the light mechanic and gameplay were really top notch.
