Airpods sound fine until I open a Halo game, then they get messed up.

Basically, I just bought Airpod Pro 2's. They sound great on my phone. Most of the time they sound good on my PC. That is, until I open a Halo Game (or maybe even any Microsoft Store game, not sure about that yet.) After that, they sound really muffled. It is not just the game sounds that get muffled, it is also other applications. I was listening to music, and I opened up the game. After I logged into the game, my audio for the game and the music I was listening to got HORRIBLE! Please don't tell me to disable the Airpods Microphone, because whether it is on or off, it does not change anything,

Still have this issue. Seems to be on steam as well

I have a similar issue, but with a different set of Bluetooth headphones (Audio Technica ATH-M50x). What the audio sounds like when Halo Infinite starts is like the Bluetooth profile for the headphones gets changed to the old headset profile. The audio becomes very "tinny" and compressed sounding, even for other applications (Spotify, for instance, will change as well). If I exit the game and restart any music I had playing prior, the issue goes away.

The change in profile doesn't seem to be obviously reflected in what I can see from the XBox Game bar or the Sounds settings page. Further, when I plug directly into my PC instead of over wireless, this issue does not arise. I also don't recall this happening with the game until relatively recently.

Do you have any kind of spatial audio enabled? In your AirPods settings or on your computer or Xbox?

Hello. I may not have made this clear (my mistake) but I am using AirPods which unfortunately don’t have a way to be connected to my computer with a cable. I will check the articles later when I get to my computer.
