Age Restrictions (GamePass)

Greetings, I just attempted to download Spore on Gamepass but it says the following: "SPORE tm is rated above the restrictions set on this account. to Install, please ask an adult to sign in and download. Or you can continue to browse hundreds of games in the store." I have checked everything posted all over the web including these forums, and nothing has worked. I have no parental controls setup on my pc / account as I don't have kids, I never signed up for Family-Safety so I cant sign in to change anything. Please for the love of god remove any restrictions on my account, seems that microsoft thinks my account is under the age of 11, the game "SPORE" is rated for 11+, what kind of ~10 year old has a bank account? My emails are older than the game Rating, lol. I just wanted a blast from the past and yet again microsoft are always ruining peoples fun.

Now, I checked all of my date of birth across all my accounts and each one says the correct D.o.B (1995)

I find it funny how I can install any horror game thats rated 18+ but for a silly little game like Spore ohh no! thats to much for a 26 year old to handle!

what the actual....? Not only do you not allow launch options on games, apparently now people who are over the age of 18 can't play games rated 8-11+? Is this a joke? I feel like just grabbing a playstation and putting linux/mac on my PC because this is just pathetic now.

Seems to be an issue with the rating on this game maybe set to 80+ years old? typo? idk anyone else had issues like this?

Just a friendly reminder though that there are multiple reports in regards to the same issue, it seems like there will be an outage with installing the game pass game on Xbox App.

As a workaround, please try installing on Microsoft Store App itself.

With this case, simply sign out and sign back in your account on the Xbox App. It will work.

hi, I’ve set my sons account as a child account at age 8 and when I go on the GamePass and select a game that’s age 18 it let me install it when it shouldn’t because the age restriction is set as eight
