    I reported an issue with Age of Empires definitive edition issue from Microsoft Ireland and requested a call back which has not arrived yet, I have now reported this twice (1st nearly and hour ago, 2 15 minutes ago). Am I wasting my time trying to get a
    support call? The current wait time was 2 minutes on the 1st, 5 minutes on the 2nd and is now 2 minutes. Bizarre...

    Anyway I purchased Age of Empires Definitive edition, but it won't load, it starts to load and crashes with no error code. I have tried installing a free game from Microsoft, ensuring push to install is enabled, UI is enabled, re-installing, turning off
    anti virus, starting the game without Internet running.

    Anyone any Ideas? I am on a I7 2600, 8 gb ram with Nvidia GTX 560.

    I don't know if this will help you, as it's an old thread, but I found this after reading your post , mentioning an application hang error. It may be worth looking online for more potential troubleshooting advice, using that error info:

    I can immediately see that this is a Windows 7 based answer, I'm on the presumption you are using Windows 10?

    Thanks for the reply! I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the game crashing.



    When you start Microsoft Windows, typically there are several programs that start automatically and run in the background
    that may interfere with the game. You are correct programs may include antivirus and system utility programs. When you perform a clean startup procedure, you prevent these programs from starting automatically.



    Try this:

    Perform
    a Clean Startup to determine whether background programs are interfering with your games or programs
