    I purchased Age of Empires 2 - Definitive Edition around 2-3 months ago. It has been working fine, until last night I noticed it had somehow been uninstalled and now no longer lets me install the application, despite saying I have purchased it. Please
    help!

    Thanks for the un-install advice.

    How do I re-install it?

    Do I have to pay for it again?

    Or do I just got to the store and it will download it at no charge?

    Yes if you got it from microsoft then it should be in there.

    But I think that you should try changing the ccompatablity bit first

    Go to the start button

    bottom left

    All programs

    Find age of empire's

    Click uninstall.

    Or you can go to the setting tab.

    Search for add and remove

    Click on it then find a.o.e

    Click remove.

    Done.

    But you might want to right click on the age of empire's short cut.

    Select the properties

    And the you need the tab compatibility which let's you run the program in a previous operating system. I.e windows 7 or even xp. Which will let you run it alot better.

    I love this game too.

    Hope that this helps you out.

    I'm also having this same error code, except for the latest update to Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition.

    Steam never has these issues. This is ridiculous.

    Tried restarting my computer, twice. No effect on the solution. Now trying uninstalling and re-installing.

    I'm using the Xbox Game Pass.
