After updating xbox game services all games are completely uninstalled

- restarting is the first thing i tried since the xbox app can be weird with showing the games, this did nothing

- there is nothing to update as updating is what seemingly caused this to happen

- saying to clear the cache makes me think you didn't read the post but i did it anyways and big surprise the games are still not there, in xbox app or in any folder

- this is worthless as the issue is that the games were deleted, not that i can't download them again

- there is no error, this is a 1 time occurance that i would like to never happen again

- i do not use any antivirus, i use completely default windows 10 firewall with no additional extension/settings

here's some things that might be useful but likely aren't,

the only things running on the pc while this happened was 'Xbox App, Brave Browser, Discord and Steam'

windows 10 version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3208)

edit: thought it would be worth mentioning that i know what i'm doing when it comes to pcs, i'm a practicing software engineer and can code in assembly

I understand that you are experiencing issues launching Xbox App and Oblivion.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please clear Xbox app cache because corrupted cache files may prevent the app from updating or launching. Open Run by pressing Windows + R.

Type: wsreset.exe and press Enter. This will reset the Microsoft Store cache.

After it completes, relaunch the Xbox app.

And then repair or reset the Xbox App. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps. Find Xbox App, click Advanced Options, and select Repair and this won’t delete your data.

If that doesn’t work, choose reset to reinstall the app settings.

Next is to reinstall Gaming Services because xbox functionality depends on the Gaming Services app by opening PowerShell as Administrator and run the following commands:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

This will uninstall and reinstall Gaming Services. Restart your PC afterward.

Then manually update Xbox app and gaming services. To do this, open the Microsoft Store. Go to Library and click Get Updates.

Install updates for the Xbox app and Gaming Services.

After that is to check for updates. Please go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Download and install all pending updates.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly uninstall and reinstall the game.

Right-click on the game in the Xbox app and select Uninstall. This will delete the corrupted files from the game. After reinstalling, test the game launch.
