    After opening Some games on my xbox Series X the system shuts down after a few seconds.


    Has anyone else had this problem with their series X? When I open games like FH4, fortnite or COD, only after a few seconds in the game my xbox shuts off completely (just the console and not the controller) also i never get any messages after it boots completely back up by clicking the console's on botton! If it was thermal throttling i would've at least gotten a message so Is it possible the heat sink isn't making proper contact with the GPU or CPU?

    I tested other games like batman and halo and they run just fine under full load and in either games the fans seems to be running just right and not ramping up!

    is it a software bug in early release since I got the console early?

    I've also tried multiple displays and TVs at different settings (60Hz 4k and 1080p) and I even tried an independent outlet incase it was the power supply not getting enough but no results.

    The only related posts that I've come across don't mention anything about the series x completely turning off outta nowhere and I've been looking very hard to find a solution or an answer to this if anyone can help please

    please try the steps mentioned on this support page in regards to not powering on:

    https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/console-wont-power-on

    also check this link, since it also shuts down unexpectedly:
    https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/console-turns-off-unexpectedly    To see if you can fix the issue, if that doesn't fix the issue then I'm afraid the only options left will be having it repaired, steps are mentioned on the support
    pages.

    Yes I did this the other day and it still shuts down after I quit the game, I have checked all my settings and nothing is set for the series x to shut down when I quit a game.

    Your answer is not satisfactory since the issue is specifically with Xbox Series X and S so far as I've seen, which are systems that came out well after Mixer shut down. I have been streaming on Twitch through my Series X and even I cannot stream a single game now, every game states "this game does not allow streaming" including games I HAVE streamed in the past.

    So there's something else going on that is not "we shut Mixer down over a year before this console launched"

    Is the power supply extremely hot? Is it plugged into the wall outlet and not a surge protector? Have you double checked to make sure the power supply is secure into the wall and the back of the console? Definitely seems a little odd though.
