    After migrating Minecraft to Microsoft my account was compromised and is likely never...


    My account was hacked 3 weeks ago. Since that time the account was used for profit and personal gain, and security info was changed. Through multiple customer support contacts the outcome was that the account would be "suspended indefinitely and/or permanently" The account was essentially only used for Minecraft. Is that gone too? Is my Minecraft profile going to be deleted or permanently unusable? All I want to know is if whether the fact that the account is suspended that the Minecraft profile is recoverable from it. It's a dumb question, I know, but I would hate to lose over 10 years of history and have to repurchase the game again.

    Thanks for the response. It's pretty frustrating to hear that, even though it's about what I expected. One last thing I would like to ask, is it possible I can have the Minecraft profile deleted or removed from the database? I would like to go under the same username in the future and if I go by j316 everywhere and had to choose something else for a name it would be confusing and time consuming. I just want to know if that's possible?

    If you play Minecraft Java Edition, you would need to talk to Mojang to see if they have a possible way of doing this. If you play Minecraft Bedrock/Minecraft for Windows, there is no way to do this since the username is actually your Xbox gamertag - which cannot be deleted. I'm really sorry about this.

    I'm really sorry, but your Minecraft profile is associated with your Microsoft account. If the account got permanently blocked, unfortunately you will not be able to recover it. You would need to purchase the game again and start playing from scratch. I'm sorry and I hope you understand.

    To login to Minecraft you would need to use your Microsoft account. Where you signing in via Mojang account? There was a migration deadline where you had to migrate your Mojang account over to a Microsoft account. If you haven't done this it is not possible to migrate your account anymore, you can read more here: Account migration last call | Minecraft
