I have 2 external hard drives and the internal storage expansion card, I’ve played the game on internal the expansion card and both of my external hard drives. It has continued to do this on all storage drives and I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, I’ve completely reset my whole Xbox, I’ve attempted to reset the cache on my Xbox and unplug it and replug it in after a little time. I’ve reset my internet and MAC address, I’ve even attempted to play the game with a different account to see if maybe my account is messed up but none of that has addressed or fixed the issue with the game.

So far, hard resetting has had no affect on my issue. Quick question to see if this is related to the problem, how many people have external storage devices here?

Since it's working just fine using a different external hard drive it means that it's not the Xbox console, another option that you can try is using the external hard drive on a different Xbox.

Sorry, but I disagree because I don't think it's a coincidence that we have people here with the same problem - happening at the same time (after an update). Too many coincidences. But to really rule out all possibilities - I hooked the drive up at my sons Xbox One and it was recognized immediately. We never used it on that Xbox before.

The drive is somehow registered on my Xbox's OS but now ignored and I can't reregister it.

Remember, after the factory reset the Xbox actually detected it and asked me whether I want to use if as a media device or format it for Xbox storage. I chose "media" and then it just disappeared.

What Storage are you using external hdd or internal storage or storage card ?

If external had that won't qork it has to be next gen storage
