    After Controller update plugging in my RIG 400 headset will cause full shutdown of Xbox One S


    I recently got a pop up that said the was an update for my controller. I updated it. After the update plugging in my xbox stereo headset adapter will cause a full shutdown of the Xbox One. The controller will stay on though and I have to remove the
    batteries to get it to turn off. The controller will work fine with no headset. About 20 seconds of plugging in the head set it will cause a shutdown. I have another controller that I keep declining the update on and it will work fine with the headset. FYI
    I am on the dashboard preview program. I have tried reupdating with the headset and adapter plugged in also.

    Have you tried a cold reboot? (Hold Power Button for 15 sec. untill it full shutdown)

    Try to Update your Controller with Headset plugged in. (Setting->System)

    Headset won't work

    Updating your controller and using a Headset
    adapter     solves most issues with headsets.

    Most recently I had to do a Full shutdown from

    Settings>Power and startup>Turn off>Full shutdown to solve a muted mic icon on screen, but that was a rare occurrence. Most times a firmware update is all that's required.

    I have the same issue with a Logitech G432 and a Plantronics Rig 400 headset on my Xbox One S. The problems started around a week ago after my Xbox had a firmware update (10.0.19041.1927). Factory resetting the console and uninstall and reinstall the Dolby
    Access App have been no solution.

    So when I boot my console the audio setting is set to "Windows Sonic". If I want to use Dolby Atmos for headphones I must start the Dolby Access App everytime after booting which is super annoying.
