    After attempting an update, game will not reinstall (Xbox PC Beta app: No Man's Sky)


    I have been playing No Man's Sky for a few days and today I noticed an update. I exited the game and began the update, after a small portion the download seemed to stopped receiving any data. So I attempted to stop the download and the app crashed (Xbox
    PC app beta). When I reloaded the app it didn't require any update any longer but would not do anything when I clicked the play button.

    After a restart and fiddling around I decided to uninstall the game completely. Now every time I go to install the game no matter what hard drive I choose, after downloading exactly 61mb every time I try, it seems to fail with an error "Check your internet
    connection, we couldn't connect you to the service, Error code 0x800704c6"

    I do have a solid internet connection and throughout all my troubleshooting, I am able to download and play other games completely fine. I am running an updated app and version of windows 10. I have restarted my computer and reinstalled the game app many
    times to no avail.

    Having the exact same issues, my download stops at 61mb and then throws the same error code.

    Terribly sorry you are having this issue.

    I would strongly recommend reaching out to Xbox Support https://support.xbox.com/, as there has been no known fix in the community for this error.

    Upon contacting support quote your error code and they should be able to assist you as much as possible.

    No Mans Sky game pass and disc will not play

    go to games and apps and highlight No Mans Sky then press the Menu button on your controller (3 horizontal lines).

    select Manage Game and Add-ons

    then select Updates to see if there is an update (the game should be version 2.55.61121.0 after the last update)
