    Hi there, After a recent update to my Xbox I’ve been asked to log back into my account and have forgotten the password (I’m currently writing this on my second account). My Xbox account was set up 8 years ago by me, my dad and my uncle which means two things 1. I don’t know some of the personal information on my account and 2. The secondary email used was a throwaway email that the 3 of us don’t remember. I have tried literally everything, change password, recover your account, I’ve tried talking to the virtual agent to try and call a human agent but it keeps failing to take my phone number.

    I have access to the email account that I use for my Xbox and have even changed the password through my email but apparently the passwords don’t align.

    I’m really struggling here and any help would be appreciated.

    This thread is almost 2 years old. If you need assistance, it's best to start a new thread than revive an old thread.

    To answer your question, once you apply money (or a live card) to an account, it cannot be transferred to another account. Same as purchased games/content.

    I can’t reset my account password because I no longer have the number that they would send the code to!

    I’ve tried recovery multiple times! It’s asking about credit card info used to purchase item on the account…I’ve had the account for 10 years I no longer have those cards so it keeps telling me the info I put in is incorrect! How am I not able to recover my account of 10 years! I was signed in one day and the next I was signed out and couldn’t get back in…There has to be a easier way to reset my account I’ve spent so much money buying games etc with that account…So do o just lose all that over a forgotten password? I’m sorry this is really annoying! And I can’t talk to anyone about it so it’s a waiting process
