    After a hard reset how do I recover an account


    I hard reset my Xbox and now one of the kids can't recover her account. I have also now put on gold. I didn't realize that the profiles would be erased.

    make sure his account is signed in. like the others said try hitting the play button. if nothing happens or the game crashes try this. hard reboot the console. this has happened to me a few times. my wife and I have separate gaming accounts on our console but we can share games after they are installed. just have to make sure the console knows they are there. it sounds crazy but sometimes you just need to do a hard reset to clear the cache and close out some apps that get stuck open after use.

    How to do a hard reset

    You need to hold the button for 10 seconds for a
    Powercycle

    Another method is

    • Go to the Home screen.
    • Press the Menu button on the controller.
    • Select Settings.
    • Note You can say “Xbox, go to settings” from any screen, but you’ll need a controller once you’re on the
      Settings screen.
    • Go to Power & startup.
    • Select Turn Xbox Off.
    • Select Yes. The console powers down.
    • Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the
      Xbox button on your controller.
