Advice on how to block, report people effectively.

Hello!
As you know, people can be a real pain, don't argue with them. I just want to remind you that it is ok to use the report/ block and/ or mute option.

In order to make the XBOX community better, we want you to help us stop day to day things such as:

A) Harassment

B) Bullying

C) Offensive content





Don't know how to report?

It's pretty simple! Let's start with reporting a message:

First of all, you'll need to tap the XBOX button on your controller and direct yourself to your messages. After this, you should find the messages of the message you wish to report. Tap A on the message and tap "Report Message"

(Note that you have the option to add a note to your report but this is optional)

How do I report someone's gamer tag?

This part is pretty simple. All you need to do is press the XBOX button on your controller. If you're friends with them, you can locate them in your friends list and report them from there by clicking on their profile and selecting report; there should be
an option saying "Report Name or Gamer tag"

However, if you're playing a multiplayer game with them, in the scoreboard there should be options to report the player(s) for whatever they have done wrong.

What is blocking or muting?

Muting or blocking a player stops them from trying to contact you in anyway. These two are handy if you just want them to leave you alone. I'd recommend Blocking and reporting them though since it's very effective.

Why do these?

Well, reporting/ blocking not only stops you from doing something you'd regret, it keeps your reputation clean! Plus, it helps XBOX prevent things like this happening again.

Reputation under "Avoid Me"

Yep, I have recoeved no message or email, even after trying sll the recommended steps and advice.

It's really a shame that a few reports/blocks can ruin the Xbox experience for so many people.
