Adult Microsoft account with open settings will not allow me to play multiplayer.

Hello,

Two Microsoft accounts and xbox profiles in the same house on two different xbox ones. Both consoles have mincecraft but only one allows realmplay and multiplayer. The other one sends to an edge link that goes through how to fix this problem - but it assumes it is a children's account. This account is an adult account and all settings are open. I can't see anywhere that restricts any type of gameplay. I've updated the console, done a hard reset, and still the problem persists.

So there is the same settings on both of these separate accounts and one allows multiplayer on minecraft fine, yet the other insists it cannot play multiplayer and assumes it is a child's account. It is not. Can anyone help?

Thank you. I believe this will be the solution as xbox b does not have a live subscription! Thank you. I will check in the morning and mark this as solved if appropriate.

If the account on the Xbox A has an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can share it with Xbox B by following the steps below:

1. Sign in to your account where the subscription is active.

2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

3. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

4. Check "Make this as My Home Xbox".

Let's say Xbox A is the console where Minecraft is working just fine, on Xbox B, is there an active Xbox Live Gold subscription? It is required to play an online multiplayer game.

To check, please sign in to the Xbox B and follow the steps below:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

Check your NAT settings. It needs to be set on Open to be able to play multiplayer.

You also need to go to your privacy and online settings under your account on the website to change your multiplayer settings to allow.

Keep in mind that only adult accounts can change these settings as child account is unable to change them.

Please try to go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and check your online and privacy settings.

If you just get a page that explains how to set up a child account, then you need an adult with an adult Microsoft Account.

The adult has to go to
https://account.microsoft.com/family and add your child account to their family.

Then the adult goes to https://account.xbox.com/settings and selects your child profile. Then they have to set your online and privacy settings to allow you to talk in multiplayer
and to play multiplayer.
