Ads and Sound issues

BeardMiller · May 22, 2014

The advertisements on the side seem to cause an Issue with my Windows Surface RT. If i hit one by accident and try to get out of it my entire tablet pretty much freaks out and by the time I get back into the bingo game its over.

Something odd that happens with the sound from time to time. Sometimes it makes a loud ERRRRR sound when calling the bingo names. This isn't as common as the other issue with the ads but worth reporting because its happened more than once.

windows 8.1.

version 6.3 build 9600

Threads complaining about the ads are more annoying than the ads themselves. If you don't like seeing the ads here is a helpful tip,
PLAY A VIDEO GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Play a video game... On the 360? Hahahahahahahahahaha. Yeah. The 360 isn't a game console anymore. Hasn't been for a long time. They actually got rid of game content like SUAM, XBOX 101 & Major's Minute to make room for ads & apps. It's a joke.

I think I saw something yesterday about Sony patenting in-game commercial breaks.
Its for free to play games. Not games you pay for.If that were to happen I just would never ever play a free to play game.

Is this the only game that you are experiencing the strange sound issue with? Is your sound driver up to date? Unfortunately, we have received other reports of ad rendering issues with games running on Windows Surface RTs.

Unfortunately, we have received other reports of users experiencing issues on Windows RT when rendering ads.

I have not heard of a user reporting a sound issue like the one described by you before. Have you made sure that your sound driver is up to date?

H, there is no way to make it so it automatically plays no sound, but some of them do have a speaker icon on the bottom right of the screen which you can press which should mute the sound.

Hi

By the sounds of it, hopefully it will be a temporary issue. It seems to freeze getting the ad, perhaps a connection issue. If the issue has happened before and was resolved, hopefully they will get it fixed again asap.
