Additional Network Ports for Multiplayer Gaming: Forza Horizon 3 auction problems

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. We understand there is an issue with connecting to Forza Horizon 4 multiplayer. If you are able to play other multiplayer games, I recommend trying to

power cycle the Xbox and network hardware.

If the issue persists, I recommend trying the following article:

My guess is that the servers are just dead seeing as most people have moved on to Forza 3 then to 4 and now to horizon. Not sure if you can see your auctions in the auction house unless your looking at the my auctions tab.

I have the same problem after this latest update and Microsoft doesn't help to open your ports anymore!!!! you have to contact your internet provider. I was connected by ethernet/wired and got this same message about the teredo... (my internet provider
could not seem to help with this either. so i connected wireless and Bam it worked for me. and stated that my NAT was open.... hope this helps you

Try changing the DNS on Xbox One.

Use Google.

The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:

Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

After changing, restart Xbox One.

It worked for me.

Forza Horizon 3 servers are quite often the problem, the online gameplay features tend to suffer from network/server issues quite often. Online features in the game can be affected making it not possible to join online adventures or other multiplayer/co-op
elements in the game.

What’s the specific error message you receive when trying to access the Auction House and trying to download gifts? Can you share a screenshot here?

Are you able to access the Auction House in another Forza game like FH4?

If it’s greyed out and says feature locked or something, then it’s probably because you need to reach a certain amount of progress as Nursemorph says. I don’t remember the exact point when everything unlocks (and there’s not much info on this anywhere), but try to complete the intro and unlock the Festival playlist as advised under ‘Why is the Auction House grayed out?‘ (at the end of the article) here:

You can at least eliminate the privacy settings/online permissions and suspensions as possible reasons. The only other possibility is that there’s a restriction or limitation on the network side where you may have to open some ports on your router, but then this should indicate a connection error and not anything involving privacy settings or anything.
