Additional Network Ports for Multiplayer Gaming: Can’t unmute my friends

Power cycle the console using these steps:

Then sign back in and see if your able to use Xbox Live Gold features. You can check for any service alerts here:

There are many things to consider when connecting to a multi-player.

- Check your accounts active live gold subscription at Account.live.com > Services & Subscription page.

- Check your NAT type or Network status at Settings > Network > Test Network and multi-player connection.

- If Issues with NAT type is set to either, Moderate, Strict or Unavailable. Proceed to follow the steps on this link https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/networking/nat-error-solution.

-Performing a hard reset on your Xbox is highly recommended - turn off - unplug cables.

-Do the same on your Network device/router.

Try a hard reset of the xbox hold the home button for 8 seconds till it completely shuts off and unplug the xbox for 5 minutes then forget your network and try reconnecting

have you tried checking to ensure both Xbox are on Open NAT? Also check individual ports for those particular games as some games require additional ports to play without issues. Hope this helps
