Adding someone via the xbox phone app

The only difference between my friends and the random persons was my friend has 1 capital and the random person had 2 and I typed it out with 1 but it kept taking me to the random persons who had 2

Ask your friend if they have numbers at the end of their tag. It's possible to have the same tag as another person now, but additional tags will have a suffix at the end to help differentiate between the accounts.

Try adding a payment type to your account and retry also try to use the code via the microsoft website either using your phone or pc you can also try via the xbox app on your smartphone hope this helps

I always have to go into my Xbox app on my phone to see someone has added me. it used to work on my xbox but not anymore. I wish there was an easier way to tell when someone deleted me too.
